Key Responsibilities

•Own the mathematical design and intellectual core of a centralized multi-commodity quantitative library covering valuation, pricing, simulation, optimization, and risk.
•Develop and maintain pricing models for derivatives and structured commodity products, including stochastic price process models and option pricing frameworks (e.g., Black-76 and Monte Carlo variants).
•Build and calibrate forward curves using spline, bootstrap, and parametric methods; integrate live market data and lead model validation (back-testing, stress testing, sensitivity analysis).
•Lead and mentor a team of quantitative analysts, conduct model/code reviews, define the analytical roadmap, and enforce modeling standards and governance/auditability.
•Provide deal support and commercial integration: deal valuation/structuring, scenario analysis, and portfolio-level work such as value attribution and hedge effectiveness testing.

Key Requirements

•15+ years of hands-on quantitative analyst/researcher experience building production-grade pricing and risk models in energy commodities or financial markets.
•Deep expertise across multiple commodity classes (at least two of crude, natural gas, power, LNG, NGLs).
•Expert proficiency in stochastic process modeling and derivatives pricing (Black-76, Monte Carlo, LSMC, spread options), including volatility surface calibration and real options valuation.
•Advanced programming skills in Python (required) with strong ability to translate mathematical frameworks into maintainable code; C++ or C# is a plus.
•Strong mathematical foundation (stochastic calculus, numerical methods, linear algebra, optimization) and prior player-coach/technical lead experience mentoring analysts.
