Job Summary

Own end-to-end cost management reporting for HBUK, supporting FP&A forecasting and actuals with strong financial performance management. Lead cost governance, planning and forecasting coordination, and provide decision support to senior management through forward-looking MI and variance analysis. Drive process and control enhancements, digitize cost reporting using modern tools (including AI), and partner with SCM and Group Infrastructure teams while leading and developing teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide oversight and cost governance for cost management reporting requirements for the business/region, including team engagement and strategic planning cost leadership for SCM and Group Infrastructure.
•Lead coordination, consolidation, review, and challenge of business plans and forecasts, including cost deep dive analysis and performance measures.
•Review and redefine processes to enhance controls and documentation, remove manual processes, and quality assure outputs.
•Deliver quantitative and qualitative decision support to senior management, including forward-looking cost MI, insights, and variance analysis of forecasts vs actuals.
•Oversee reporting delivery (monthly ad hoc and quarterly requirements) and lead digitization of MI and FP&A cost processes using modern tools and technologies, including AI, while leading and managing teams.

Key Requirements

•Recognized professional accounting qualification (CA) or MBA from a Tier1 institute with 10-12 years of predominantly Finance experience (not exceeding 15), including leadership experience managing complex stakeholder requirements.
•Experience influencing in senior governance forums and handling auditors.
•Strong understanding of financial accounting and financial reporting, plus extensive business partnering in a business/group-facing process.
•Strong written reporting skills, including drafting papers for senior management, and understanding of banking and non-banking products/segments.
•Proven track record designing, implementing, and operating processes with a focus on controls, documentation, and operational excellence.
