Job Summary

Serve as a Security subject-matter expert for strategic enterprise customers supporting Project Lightwell. Provide proactive security monitoring, incident support, and diagnostic/remediation guidance across Red Hat Enterprise ecosystem components. Partner with engineering, product, and global support teams to debug and resolve issues, mentor security/ops staff, and coordinate scanning, triage, patching, and backporting. Build trusted customer relationships and maintain engagement plans and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

•Liaise with Red Hat Product Security and partners, and coordinate guidance between customer operations and security teams.
•Provide proactive security monitoring and analytical support for security impacts from planned changes, including timely diagnostic and remediation advice.
•Facilitate customer use of the Project Lightwell clearinghouse for scanning, triage, patching, and backporting.
•Work closely with engineering, product management, and technical support teams to debug, test, and resolve issues; serve as point of contact for major incidents.
•Mentor security and operations staff on security best practices and maintain customer engagement plans and case documentation.

Key Requirements

•Associates’ or Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a technical discipline.
•10+ years of experience in a security role or in customer support, development, engineering, or QA.
•Red Hat Certified: RHCE (RHCA preferred).
•Security certification (CISSP, CCSP, CompTIA Security+, (ISC)² Certified in Cybersecurity (CC), or Certified Ethical Hacker) preferred.
•Experience with agile/scrum and DevOps, including CI/CD concepts and working knowledge of RHEL, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible.
