Job Summary

Lead Part 21J cabin interiors design and certification work within Boeing Global Services’ Commercial Modifications Europe team. Support development and integration of interior design solutions—including cabin changes, cargo handling, water and waste systems, and exterior liveries—by partnering with airline and leasing customers and collaborating with global engineering teams. Use CAD tools and EASA DOH guidance to develop design solutions, create compliance substantiation and safety analysis documentation, and deliver continued airworthiness accomplishment instructions for aircraft modifications.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop engineering design solutions for cabin interior modifications, including LOPA updates and associated changes (PSU, emergency equipment) and new product development and certification.
•Develop, integrate, and support interior updates such as IFEC changes, galleys/monuments/lavatories installation, and modifications to environmental systems and interior mood lighting.
•Support certification documentation and compliance substantiation, including flammability documentation, design reports, ground test plans, cabin walkthrough plans, and system safety analysis.
•Compile engineering accomplishment documentation and instructions for continued airworthiness, including service bulletins and aircraft/component manual supplements.
•Work with matrix organization stakeholders and airline/leasing customers across multiple programmes while collaborating with global engineering services teams.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace or other safety critical engineering from an accredited program.
•Demonstrate competency using CATIA V5, 3DExperience, and AutoCAD.
•Knowledge of type design and continuing airworthiness for part 25 aircraft.
•Knowledge of the certification of part 25 aircraft, including interior reconfiguration programmes and primary and secondary aircraft structures.
•Working knowledge of EASA regulatory and applicable airworthiness requirements, including CS-25, 14CFR Part 25 and Part 21J design organisations.
