Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct work in a safe manner and comply with all HSE obligations; follow the WSP Quality System and Code of Ethics.
  • •Use database management, geotechnical and geological skills to contribute to geotechnical and multidisciplinary projects; help develop project geotechnical databases.
  • •Collate and quality-check field data collected by project teams and incorporate it into central project databases; maintain data quality.
  • •Provide input for geotechnical factual reports and assist in developing engineering geological ground models.
  • •Promote safety and deliver optimal client outcomes by ensuring technical quality and building strong relationships with project stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Geology, Engineering Geology, Data Science, Spatial Science, Information Science or similar fields.
  • •Typically 2+ years’ experience in geotechnical engineering or geology.
  • •A keen interest in geotechnical engineering and geology with a track record of collecting and managing field data.
  • •Experience with geotechnical/environmental data analysis, database development, and spatial information management is beneficial.
  • •Experience with data warehousing and knowledge of core data science, machine learning and statistical concepts would be beneficial.
