Job Summary

Operate and maintain the band saw cell for Porta Band blade production during 2nd shift (3pm–11:30pm). Set up and adjust automatic cut off equipment, perform welding and grinding tasks, complete inspections and documentation, and prepare blades for packing. Carry out daily/weekly/monthly machine maintenance, handle scrap and rework, follow ISO 9001 requirements, and immediately escalate quality or equipment issues while observing all safety rules.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain equipment to cut off, weld, grind, anneal, grit blast, inspect, and pack Porta Band blades.
•Set up and adjust automatic cut off machine, start automatic cycles, and verify proper length and quantity.
•Transfer blades to resistance butt welder, adjust welding settings, and remove weld flash using grinding/belt grinder.
•Perform inspections and tests throughout the manufacturing process and prepare blades for shipping containers while completing required documentation.
•Run daily/weekly/monthly preventive maintenance, handle scrap/rework/mixed product, follow safety rules and ISO 9001, and notify supervisors of issues.
