Key Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain core framework and key software components for the Kraken trading engine, with a focus on Aeron-based messaging transport layer
•Design and implement low-latency, high-availability messaging solutions across unicast, multicast, and IPC transport paths
•Tune and profile the full system stack (CPU pinning, NUMA topology, kernel bypass, receive buffer sizing) to minimize latency in production
•Build and extend Aeron Archive integrations for durable message replay and stream persistence
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to meet product roadmap goals and deliver secure, scalable trading infrastructure

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience with modern C++
•Linux experience with distributed/high-concurrency systems and low-latency environments
•Deep understanding of low-latency fundamentals (lock-free data structures, cache-line discipline)
•Experience with Aeron or similar messaging transports (e.g., Chronicle Queue, ZeroMQ, LMAX Disruptor)
•Experience profiling/optimising code (CPU/memory/network) and strong Python, Rust, and SQL skills
