Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile environment.
  • •Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs on electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using test instruments; conduct road tests to ensure proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation and sourcing parts from vendors.
  • •Document work per company standards by completing DOT forms and repair orders, and upload photos using the company iOS device and TRAIT application while maintaining safety and compliance with federal regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination of education/certification and experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Obtain the required certifications within 18 months: ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609.
