Key Responsibilities

•Data Center Heat Rejection and HVAC System Design: Develop and design heat rejection and HVAC systems tailored for data centers, considering cooling types, loads, scalability, airflow management, humidity control, redundancy, energy efficiency, and standards compliance.
•Cooling System Selection: Select air-/water-side cooling systems for data centers, including fan walls, CRAHs, chilled water, DX, CRACs, in-row cooling, and containment solutions based on data-center requirements.
•CFD Analysis: Conduct internal and external CFD simulations to optimize airflow, identify hotspots, and recommend design modifications; coordinate changes with other trades.
•Redundancy and Fault Tolerance: Design HVAC with redundancy and fault-tolerant features, including backup cooling, automatic switchover, and monitoring systems.
•Heat Load Calculation and Capacity Planning: Perform heat load calculations and capacity planning to accommodate IT equipment, growth, and phasing; include admin/common areas.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 170,000 - 200,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
•Experience in data center mechanical and electrical equipment installation and operation.
•P.E. registration is required.
