Job Summary

Lead fund accounting for hedge funds, private equity funds, and closed-end registered products. Calculate and disseminate NAV and performance information, act as primary fund accountant across multiple relationships, and ensure GAAP-compliant accounting. Manage investor contributions/withdrawals, valuation of securities, fund profit allocations, and expense analysis. Prepare fund financial statements, audit and tax schedules, and support investor statement production while coordinating deadlines across multiple tasks.

•Calculate NAVs and disseminate financial and performance information to investment advisors and investors.
•Serve as primary fund accountant for multiple relationships, ensuring GAAP-compliant fund accounting.
•Record trades, income/expense activity, and apply securities valuation in portfolio accounting systems.
•Reconcile investor contributions and withdrawals and allocate fund-level profits for investor statements.
•Review and coordinate fund expense analysis and prepare fund financial statements, audit, and tax schedules.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field (or equivalent work experience).
•Two to five years of related experience, preferably in portfolio/partnership accounting.
•Thorough knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysis.
•Ability to identify, resolve, and escalate complex problems with minimal guidance.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong written/verbal communication skills.
