Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, organize, and conduct training and educational programs in classroom and shipboard environments for customer personnel.
  • •Deliver traditional classroom instruction and support technical and tactical laboratory training for the AEGIS Combat System and associated weapons systems.
  • •Identify learning gaps and train officers/enlisted on system capabilities/limitations, automated systems employment, mission planning/execution, and tactical communications.
  • •Provide subject matter expertise supporting curriculum development for SCSTC courses supporting Advanced Warfare (AWT).
  • •Assess sailors’ abilities, and provide formal appraisal of performance with recommendations to maintain technical and tactical proficiency.

Key Requirements

  • •Five (5) years of experience as an Aegis Baseline 9 Training System Supervisor (TRASUP) teaching applicable system/function tasks in a journeyman-level training environment.
  • •Experience as a qualified AEGIS TRASUP is required; one (1) year must be as an instructor in a Navy training environment, including curriculum maintenance and learning objectives/test items.
  • •Experience with Advanced Training Domain (ATD) and as a Tactical Information Coordinator/Identification Supervisor (TIC/IDS) is a plus.
  • •Experience as a qualified Aegis Training System Supervisor (TRASUP) and ability to support training while instructing for extended periods while on your feet.
  • •Excellent communication skills.
