Assist Herd Technicians with routine animal care and general farm tasks to support animal welfare and site operations. Perform farm sanitation, animal movement, and piglet processing, including administering medications and basic veterinary procedures. Maintain accurate production records, treat sick animals, and follow SOPs and animal welfare, environmental, safety, and biosecurity procedures. May operate farm equipment and support facility, equipment, barn, and laundry duties.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist with routine animal care and general farm tasks to support animal welfare.
•Feed, water, vaccinate, and perform general animal husbandry tasks including basic veterinary procedures.
•Sanitize and wash farm areas using high-pressure equipment; support facility and equipment maintenance.
•Process piglets, including injecting medications, castrating, docking tails, and ear notching.
•Maintain accurate production information and update department records; follow SOPs and animal welfare and biosecurity procedures.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 16 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED preferred.
•Previous livestock handling helpful.
•Ability to do hard physical labor.
•Strong commitment to teamwork.
•Must be able to work an average 48-hour work week, including weekend, evening, and holiday work as needed.
