Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and ship complex backend components including services, APIs, and data pipelines with high-quality production code.
  • •Build AI/ML-powered product features end to end by integrating models, designing systems and data flows, and ensuring reliable production performance.
  • •Drive hands-on technical design for scalability, performance, security, and cost decisions and implement them.
  • •Apply engineering best practices across the SDLC—code quality, testing, security, observability, and operational excellence—and raise the team bar through code.
  • •Debug, profile, and harden production systems; provide hands-on mentorship via design reviews, pairing, and code review while supporting incident response.
  • •Ensure compliance with healthcare and data-protection requirements (HIPAA, GDPR) and embed compliance/security into implementations.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of personally building and shipping production systems.
  • •Deep, current hands-on coding expertise in one or more modern languages (Python, Java, Go, or similar).
  • •Strong software design skills across distributed systems, backend services, APIs, and data-intensive architectures.
  • •Experience building and integrating AI/ML into products and operationalizing AI/ML-powered features in production.
  • •Hands-on experience operating production systems (CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, performance tuning, incident response), plus familiarity with healthcare data standards and compliance (HIPAA, GDPR).
