Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and apply Albemarle HS&E policies and procedures, including supporting regulatory reporting, training, and contractor management as needed.
  • •Serve as a key contributor for policy updates, creation, and implementation while documenting and communicating HS&E expectations, outcomes, and metrics.
  • •Plan and execute risk assessments and laboratory safety audits, including leading audits and walk-throughs.
  • •Lead investigations of research and technology incidents, observations, and the resolution of audit findings.
  • •Use and maintain internal documentation systems (including SAP and SharePoint) and facilitate HS&E committees and site coordination.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Public Health, or related technical discipline.
  • •Maintain health, safety, and environmental compliance systems.
  • •5 years of experience in a lab-focused HSE position in chemical, pharmaceutical, agrochemical, or oil and gas (preferably R&D laboratories).
  • •Experience with regulatory aspects and laboratory work best practices.
  • •Certified Safety Professional and experience/facilitation training in Root Cause Analysis.
