Job Summary

Lead and deliver structural engineering design for building projects in a senior/principal capacity, overseeing project lifecycles from concept through handover. Provide technical leadership within the Building Structures team, coordinate with Architects and consultants, manage design processes, and support tendering and business development while ensuring compliance with codes and client briefs.

Key Responsibilities

•Own and lead the design process, delivering the right solutions to the programme and mentoring less experienced team members
•Take a key technical leadership role on multi-disciplinary design projects from concept to detailed design, coordinating with Architects, Engineers and consultants
•Participate in tender bids and business development opportunities as they arise
•Agree fees and manage the commercial position on projects
•Exercise independent judgement and resolve technical issues

Key Requirements

•Degree or HNC/HND qualification in a relevant discipline
•Chartered or following a path to Chartership
•Solid experience in Civil & Structural detailed design
•Detailed working knowledge of national codes and standards
•Experience with structural design software packages such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds; CAD software such as Revit would be beneficial
