Job Summary

Provide and coordinate surgical (OT/OR) patient care at NMC Specialty Hospital, assessing needs and implementing/monitoring medical treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and allied health teams. Perform systematic assessment and nursing diagnoses, define care outcomes, and create/update patient care plans. Record and escalate vital-sign abnormalities, deliver medications and treatments, manage wound care, assist with procedures, and prepare patients for admission, transfer, and discharge while maintaining essential life-support skills.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide and coordinate patient care and educate patients and the public about health conditions, offering advice and emotional support to patients and their families.
•Assess and identify patient needs, implement and monitor medical plans and treatments with physicians and allied health teams.
•Perform systematic patient assessment and re-assessment, analyze assessment data, and determine nursing diagnoses, problems, and issues.
•Create, evaluate, and update patient care plans, and record vital signs; recognize, address, and escalate abnormalities.
•Administer medications and treatments (including IV fluids/blood products), provide wound care, assist in procedures, and support safe admission, transfer, and discharge.

Key Requirements

•Have an appropriate license to work as a registered nurse with the relevant regulatory health authority.
•Manage your own professional re-licensure.
•Hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider card.
•Communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written).
•Be able to communicate effectively in Arabic (desirable) and work as part of an inter-professional team (desirable).
