Key Responsibilities

•Develop high-quality detailed design packages and provide engineering procurement and field technical support to implement those designs.
•Prepare design deliverables including bills of material and labor-hour estimates, statements of work, design criteria, calculations/analyses, and construction specifications/drawings.
•Provide troubleshooting and technical assessments of plant systems, including field walkdowns to generate design documents and support craft personnel.
•Prepare electrical/instrumentation deliverables such as conduit/cable schedules, conduit/equipment plans, one-line diagrams, wiring/schematic diagrams, instrument loop diagrams, and datasheets.
•Develop control cabinet assembly drawings, system diagrams, and control logic for batch and continuous processes using analog instrumentation, distributed digital control systems, and PLC/HMI-related materials.

Key Requirements

•ABET-accredited Bachelor’s in electrical engineering with 15–20 years of experience, or an MS with 14–18 years of experience, plus >5 years of instrumentation and controls design experience.
•Ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance.
•Experience designing instrumentation and controls systems using the National Electrical Code, UL508A, and relevant ISA standards.
•Ability to produce electrical design documentation including conduit/cable schedules, one-line diagrams, wiring/connection/schematic diagrams, and instrument loop diagrams.
•Experience developing control logic and designs for batch and continuous processes using analog instrumentation, distributed digital control systems, and PLCs/HMIs.
