Key Responsibilities

  • •Support engineering design, analysis, calculations, and specifications for facility fire and life safety systems.
  • •Develop building and fire code compliance documents and fire life safety designs for SpaceX facilities.
  • •Develop Alternate Means & Methods (AM&M) to local AHJ for performance-based design criteria.
  • •Perform hazardous material analysis for code compliance purposes and support related system design.
  • •Support facility construction teams, commissioning activities, code reviews/analyses, and technical reports/presentations, including review of contractor shop drawings.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • •2+ years of experience in the design and construction of fire protection systems and/or fire protection consulting.
  • •Experience supporting engineering design, analysis, calculations, and specifications for facility fire and life safety systems.
  • •Experience developing building and fire code compliance documents and fire life safety designs.
  • •Working knowledge of Building & Fire Codes and NFPA codes and standards.
