Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and maintain the architectural blueprint for the NG911 call-handling platform, ensuring alignment with NG911 interoperability requirements and regulatory frameworks
  • •Guide design decisions related to system scalability, fault tolerance, real-time communications, geospatial routing, and cybersecurity
  • •Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to advance platform capabilities (cloud-native services, AI/ML for dispatch support, GIS integration)
  • •Lead long-term technical planning and establish architectural roadmaps that align with NG911 evolution and organizational goals
  • •Coordinate with public safety agencies, telecom providers, and government partners to ensure NG911 mandates and standards compliance and serve as SME for NG911 call-handling software

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • •10+ years of experience in software architecture or engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • •Proven experience with large-scale, real-time, mission-critical systems—preferably in public safety, telecom, or defense sectors
  • •Strong understanding of NG911 standards (e.g., NENA i3), SIP/RTP protocols, CAD systems, and geospatial data systems (GIS)
  • •Expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, and secure cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, or hybrid)
