Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in the successful operation and management of the town planning team.
  • •Lead and assist on key planning policy projects, including support for local authority policy and strategy development and coordination of local plan evidence studies.
  • •Provide strategic planning advice and represent the organisation by building and managing relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.
  • •Ensure projects are delivered successfully on budget and within programme timelines, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
  • •Oversee planning policy deliverables, implementing quality assurance and health and safety principles, and contribute to business development through tenders and client relationship development.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant relevant experience leading and contributing to planning policy and strategy development in a consultancy or public sector role.
  • •Strong client focus with good interpersonal and collaborative working skills.
  • •Existing relationships with clients and local authorities.
  • •A business development mindset with demonstrable experience in work winning and developing client relationships.
  • •A degree in Town Planning (or related discipline) and membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or an equivalent professional body.
