Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform licensed DOT inspections and scheduled preventative maintenance on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles and trailers in a shop environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical and electrical systems (e.g., brakes, cooling, steering, starters/alternators, engine electronics, transmissions).
  • •Determine parts required for each job and coordinate with the Shop Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
  • •Complete repair orders by documenting findings, parts used, and work performed using a company issued device and/or Karmak application.
  • •Maintain safety/compliance, participate in required safety training, and keep the work environment clean and safe; occasionally travel to customer locations.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent education/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File (safe drivers needed).
  • •Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment or within 72 hours of hire.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •ASE T8 (PMI) certification (or obtain within 18 months).
