Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on schedule over required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment; unload empty skids and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain signed invoices and shipping paperwork (bills of lading), deliver documentation when routes are complete, and perform routine truck service checks; report maintenance malfunctions.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold either a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight operated.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state transportation regulations.
  • •Must pass a DOT physical for trucks driven over 10k lbs.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Ability to remain focused in a busy environment and perform required physical duties (including lifting up to 40 pounds).
