Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
  • •Load/unload goods and materials using specialized equipment; assist with returning equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain shipping paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine service checks, reporting maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) (or chauffeur’s license depending on state) appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Must pass DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal/state DOT regulations, including a 10 panel drug screen.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles.
  • •Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab.
