Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide electronic technician services to FAALC product divisions to ensure electronic systems, subsystems, and components meet serviceability, reliability, and availability requirements.
  • •Troubleshoot routine electronics problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documentation.
  • •Plan work sequence and select tools and testing instruments, applying familiarity with interrelationships of circuits.
  • •Perform troubleshooting, repair, assembly, refurbishment, installation, calibration, and testing activities across electronic equipment.
  • •Complete assigned administrative tasks such as recording time, leave, and training completion while complying with applicable FAA/FAALC standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum High School diploma/GED plus formal technical training OR an Associate Degree in Electrical or Engineering Technology.
  • •Two years practical experience in an electronic technician support position, including troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, testing, and installing electrical/electronic systems.
  • •Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, AC/DC power supply, and power meter.
  • •Proficiency in through-hole soldering/de-soldering.
  • •Ability to identify and interpret analogue and digital circuit schematics and perform basic electronics troubleshooting (e.g., measure volts/current/resistance; identify opens/shorts/grounds).
