Job Summary

Senior Capacity Planning Engineer responsible for aligning supply planning with global infrastructure capacity, owning end-to-end capacity planning across compute, networking, and storage to support a growing, multi-site production environment. Partners with Supply Chain, Network Engineering, Infrastructure Operations, Finance, Product, Sales and Procurement to translate capacity signals into informed planning decisions and drive efficiency and resilience across the infrastructure stack.

Key Responsibilities

•Define and implement capacity planning strategies that optimize inventory, compress lead times, and keep F5’s infrastructure expansion ahead of demand.
•Own end-to-end capacity planning for hardware deployments, ensuring performance, cost targets, and delivery timelines are met.
•Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate roadmaps into infrastructure demand and push back with data when forecasted demand misaligns with capacity.
•Engage with vendors and OEMs on hardware roadmaps and procurement timelines, incorporating constraints into planning assumptions.
•Develop sourcing strategies with Procurement to support infrastructure objectives at scale and manage risk in constrained environments.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of experience in infrastructure capacity planning, infrastructure engineering, or a closely related discipline, with a track record of owning capacity planning functions.
