Key Responsibilities

•Translate customer needs into current product applications or development of new, profitable products in collaboration with Customers, Sales, Marketing, Production and Global Applications.
•Support Sales in promoting and implementing new and existing products and applications with new and existing clients, developing targeted prototypes and technical information.
•Design and execute experiments to answer customer questions or troubleshoot issues.
•Identify customer needs and develop innovative solutions utilizing the DSM portfolio of cultures, enzymes, hydrocolloids, nutritional ingredients and flavors.
•Manage product development projects and pilot plant demonstrations, supervising Sr. Technician and external pilot plants when needed.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science, Dairy Food Engineering, Biotechnology, or foreign equivalent, plus five years of post‑baccalaureate experience as a Technical Services Manager or Account Manager in a global dairy food manufacturing company.
•Experience applying fermented food microbiology and culture development.
•Project management, consumer dairy food development and launch processes.
•Fermented dairy product sensory evaluation and commercial dairy manufacturing, especially yogurt.
•Experience in ingredient sales and development of fermented dairy prototypes using cultures, enzymes, texturizers, and flavor ingredients; up to 15% travel.
