Job Summary

Supervise and coordinate daily underground pipe installation work for one or more crews. Plan and troubleshoot job assignments, requisition materials and equipment, and maintain required jobsite records, logs, and safety/inspection documentation. Read blueprints and construction drawings, conduct onsite inspections and weekly safety meetings, and ensure safe operation of equipment while locating buried utilities and supporting pipe installation activities.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise and coordinate day-to-day construction activities for crews installing underground pipe and related systems.
•Manage personnel onsite by providing direction and guidance in a safe and effective manner.
•Plan and troubleshoot daily work assignments, including prioritizing tasks and requisitioning materials and equipment.
•Prepare and maintain written job records, logs, progress reports, and safety and inspection documents.
•Perform onsite inspections, participate in meetings, conduct weekly safety meetings, and help with jobsite setup, equipment operation, and cleanup.

Key Requirements

•Demonstrated experience with installation of underground wet utilities and knowledge of underground utility installation practices.
•Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, site specifications, and construction drawings, and write simple correspondence.
•Ability to safely lead and manage personnel onsite and provide direction during the workday.
•Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical examination.
•Must have current authorization to work in the United States and be able to travel as required.
