Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and execute automated reliability, regression, and correctness test workflows within the CI/CD pipeline.
  • •Implement and maintain repeatable test contracts to validate query accuracy, product lifecycle, database compactions, and recoverability.
  • •Run exhaustive reliability testing that simulates real-world customer workloads, restarts, memory exhaustion, and deployments.
  • •Collaborate with core developers to convert engineering specifications and customer root-cause analyses into formal, repeatable test constraints.
  • •Investigate performance data variations, capture system profiles, and identify architectural bottlenecks; contribute to on-call rotation and automated reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep hands-on coding experience using Rust (highly preferred) or a desire to learn Rust with system experience in C++ or Golang.
  • •Proven experience in performance, regression, and reliability validation frameworks, including establishing repeatable baselines for distributed data systems.
  • •Solid CS fundamentals with a minimum Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of work experience.
  • •Comfort using modern AI assistants and tools (e.g., Claude) for troubleshooting, utility generation, and log analysis.
  • •Competency working with containerized environments and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) plus modern CI utilities such as CircleCI.
