Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and architect robust primary and secondary structures and components using CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX) for demanding operational environments.
  • •Perform advanced FEA (static, dynamic, thermal, fatigue, vibration) to validate design integrity and predict performance under extreme conditions.
  • •Specify and qualify materials (metals, composites, plastics) and manufacturing processes (machining, additive manufacturing, molding, welding) to meet structural requirements and production scalability.
  • •Prototype, fabricate, and assemble to support structural qualification tests and analyze test data to inform design refinements.
  • •Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, and Manufacturing teams to ensure integration, manufacturability (DFM/DFA), and reliability.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of direct experience in structural design and analysis for complex mechanical systems.
  • •Proven proficiency in advanced FEA (static, dynamic, thermal, fatigue, vibration) using industry-standard software (e.g., ANSYS, Nastran, Abaqus) and interpreting results to drive design decisions.
  • •Hands-on CAD experience with SolidWorks, CATIA, NX and a strong understanding of GD&T principles.
  • •Solid understanding of mechanical properties of engineering materials (metals, composites) and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • •Experience designing, setting up, and executing structural verification and validation tests (environmental, shock, vibration) and analyzing results to inform design refinements.
