Key Responsibilities

•Design and architect robust primary and secondary structures and components using CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX) for demanding operational environments.
•Perform advanced FEA (static, dynamic, thermal, fatigue, vibration) to validate design integrity and predict performance under extreme conditions.
•Specify and qualify materials (metals, composites, plastics) and manufacturing processes (machining, additive manufacturing, molding, welding) to meet structural requirements and production scalability.
•Prototype, fabricate, and assemble to support structural qualification tests and analyze test data to inform design refinements.
•Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, and Manufacturing teams to ensure integration, manufacturability (DFM/DFA), and reliability.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of direct experience in structural design and analysis for complex mechanical systems.
•Proven proficiency in advanced FEA (static, dynamic, thermal, fatigue, vibration) using industry-standard software (e.g., ANSYS, Nastran, Abaqus) and interpreting results to drive design decisions.
•Hands-on CAD experience with SolidWorks, CATIA, NX and a strong understanding of GD&T principles.
•Solid understanding of mechanical properties of engineering materials (metals, composites) and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
•Experience designing, setting up, and executing structural verification and validation tests (environmental, shock, vibration) and analyzing results to inform design refinements.
