Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise clients on public affairs and policy matters by conducting research and analysis and preparing policy papers, response statements, and viewpoints.
  • •Support clients in anticipating and responding to political, regulatory, and stakeholder developments that may affect operations or reputation.
  • •Develop and execute stakeholder mapping, issues strategy, and integrated stakeholder engagement strategies aligned to client objectives.
  • •Create public affairs narratives and messaging, including briefing materials, position papers, executive talking points, and thought leadership.
  • •Manage day-to-day account activity across public affairs-led workstreams, ensuring quality and timely delivery while mentoring Consultants and Associates.

Key Requirements

  • •4–6 years of relevant experience in public affairs, policy advisory, corporate affairs, or related roles, ideally in consultancy or professional services.
  • •Strong understanding of Australia’s political, regulatory, and stakeholder environment, including awareness of regional and global dynamics.
  • •Strong ability to understand clients’ business objectives and provide strategic insight on risks and opportunities from key developments.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, international relations, law, economics, communications, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualification is an advantage).
