Job Summary

Lead financial planning and analysis for the EPA ESSET program finance team, delivering program P&L, variance and trend reporting, and monthly leadership updates. Manage monthly rolling forecasts and annual budgeting, including funding and burn-rate analysis across contracts, government fiscal years, and corporate accounting calendars. Drive value-add insights on drivers, risks, and opportunities, oversee month-end close activities, and coordinate with accounting, contracts, procurement, and other corporate teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead/manage the program FP&A team by providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
•Produce timely and accurate financial reporting deliverables, including program P&L, trend/variance analysis, and monthly reporting.
•Manage monthly rolling forecasts and annual operating budgeting activities.
•Provide funding and burn rate analysis and value-add insights on program drivers, risks, and opportunities.
•Manage month-end close activities (cost accruals, revenue recognition, expense reviews) and collaborate with accounting, contracts, and procurement teams.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 130,000 - 140,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field with 8+ years (or commensurate experience).
•Government contracting experience; knowledge of CAS, FAR, and GAAP.
•Experience developing financial planning and analysis (FP&A) cadence.
•Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and modeling.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills to relay complex information concisely.
