Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure comprehensive and safe patient care by mitigating risks and meeting clinical quality standards.
  • •Manage the client experience and support the Unit Manager in coordinating care delivery.
  • •Provide direct patient care and mentorship to new and student nurses in the unit.
  • •Empower and build staff competence through continuous assessment and development.
  • •Assist with effective management of operational expenses, including stock and capital.

Key Requirements

  • •Professional Nurse qualification and Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing if managing a specialist unit (e.g., Perioperative Nursing).
  • •3 years’ Professional Nurse experience in a hospital.
  • •1 year mentor experience.
  • •Basic life support trained and patient assessment skills.
  • •Experience with nursing record keeping, infection prevention and control, and developing/ modifying nursing care plans.
