Job Summary

Operate production equipment on the 3rd shift by setting up machines to batch specifications, staging and labeling products, and cleaning/sanitizing between orders. Read and interpret batch reports, verify batch weights and quantities using basic math, and follow plant safety/emergency procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices for food products. Support training of new employees alongside the Group Leader and Production Supervisor and help maintain compliant, sanitary operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Place safety first while handling raw materials and staging materials for processing.
•Set up machines to specification and fill/label products.
•Read and understand batch reports to set up machines to order specification.
•Verify batch weights and quantities using mathematical calculations.
•Assist Group Leader and Production Supervisor with training new employees and conducting competency reviews; follow plant policies and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED (preferred); equivalent experience may be considered.
•Previous food plant experience, plus forklift truck experience and a forklift license.
•Basic math skills to verify batch weights and quantities.
•Ability to be on your feet 60%–90% of the day and frequently lift 35 lb and move/lift/pull/push up to 50 lb.
•Willingness and ability to work in a facility with minimal temperature control (hot/cold temperature variations).
