Job Function: Software Engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • •Configure, develop, maintain, and support Micron and third-party applications within the MFG Application Development team.
  • •Apply software engineering principles across requirements analysis, specification, research, design, documentation, maintenance, and support.
  • •Build quality software and participate in quality improvement efforts to minimize defects, downtime, and performance degradation.
  • •Demonstrate functional and technical ability to switch between development technologies and merge them into best-fit solutions.
  • •Leverage modern development practices and tools (including AI-assisted development tools) to improve productivity, code quality, and problem solving while following responsible and secure AI usage practices.

Key Requirements

  • •Hands-on experience with full-stack software development, including core programming fundamentals and object-oriented design.
  • •Experience with C#, C++, .NET, .NET Core, WPF, ADO.NET, WebAPI, and RESTful services.
  • •Experience with database environments such as MS SQL Server and MySQL, including performance tuning and query optimization (preferred).
  • •Familiarity with source control and CI/CD using Git and TFS, with CI/CD pipeline automation for build, release, and deployment.
  • •Strong grasp of software design principles and modern practices, including design patterns, DevOps/Agile/Scrum, and modern web UI frameworks/responsive design.
