Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and install communication cables, power distribution, and wiring required for equipment and computer systems.
  • •Install, modify, and repair electrical/electronic devices and associated electrical controls/components per manufacturer specifications and safety policies.
  • •Assist maintenance technicians during troubleshooting of electronic and electrical issues, including responding to crisis calls with required tools.
  • •Maintain plant involvement with processing equipment and scale systems; perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical/electronic components.
  • •Read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams; test subsystems/components to localize problems and maintain activity records/logs.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience/training in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing; or 4 years of direct experience in that environment.
  • •Strong troubleshooting knowledge of AC/DC motors, controls, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
  • •Computer/device communications using standard protocols including TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Device net, Modbus, Hart, and Serial.
  • •Knowledge of programmable logic/automation controllers, human-machine interfaces, hardware, and automation programming languages (Ladder Logic, FBD, SFC, Structured Text) on platforms including Rockwell Automation, Siemens, GE, and Ignition (preferred).
  • •Ability to follow safe work practices and work independently; basic computer skills required.
