Key Responsibilities

  • •Gain exposure to fire engineering projects across the full project lifecycle, from early concept and design to completion.
  • •Conduct fire risk assessments, evacuation analysis, and smoke control modelling.
  • •Prepare technical reports and documentation to support design outcomes and approvals.
  • •Develop practical knowledge of relevant fire engineering codes, standards, regulations, and industry practices.
  • •Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate fire safety into broader building design and delivery.

Key Requirements

  • •Be in your final year of, or have completed, a relevant Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with relevant fire safety coursework.
  • •Have full working rights to work in Australia (AECOM accepts candidates with student and graduate visas).
  • •Develop your understanding of relevant fire engineering codes, standards, regulations, and industry practices.
  • •Support the development of practical, performance-based fire safety solutions under the guidance of experienced engineers.
  • •Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to integrate fire safety considerations into broader building design and delivery.
