Key Responsibilities

  • •Engineer and implement a highly available, scalable data platform infrastructure for SAP’s Business Data Cloud using cloud, SAP proprietary, and open-source technologies.
  • •Implement parts of a distributed data processing platform, addressing availability, scalability, performance, and multiple consistency models.
  • •Design and build cloud-native systems including microservices orchestration and Kubernetes/Helm-based components.
  • •Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and delivery systems using GitHub Actions and Jenkins with relevant plugins and extensions.
  • •Collaborate across product and engineering teams and lead small-to-medium projects spanning multiple time zones.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 205,621 - 269,544 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field plus 6 years of experience (or master’s plus 4 years, or employer acceptance of 3–4 year bachelor’s).
  • •4 years of experience with Python/PySpark and at least two of Java, Scala, C/C++, or Golang and their ecosystems.
  • •4 years of experience with modern database systems including SAP HANA Cloud, and Postgres and MySQL.
  • •4 years building cloud-native data processing environments using AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, with Spark, Flink, Hadoop, and Kafka.
  • •Experience designing Kubernetes/Helm and microservices orchestration, plus CI/CD with GitHub Actions and Jenkins, and applying GitOps/resilience/Agile practices.
