Job Summary

Own a product vertical end-to-end for BJAK’s Neobank Superapp—covering outcomes, roadmap, and technical delivery across areas like payments, expense management, remittance, insurance, or wealth/trading. Partner with engineering to design systems that handle money-movement correctness, third-party rails, security, scalability, and recovery. Location: Malaysia
Workplace: Hybrid
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Product Management

Key Responsibilities

  • •Own a product vertical end-to-end, driving outcomes and metrics, prioritizing the backlog by value/risk/dependency/priority, and defining acceptance criteria.
  • •Shape technical design with engineering across money-movement correctness, ledgering/reconciliation, third-party rail behavior, failure/retry/refund paths, security, latency, scalability, and recovery.
  • •Make and defend hard trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, and UX with engineering, compliance, or ops leadership.
  • •Treat regulated constraints (licensing, CDD/KYC, limits, sanctions/PEP screening, transaction monitoring, data residency, privacy) as first-class product inputs and plan launch gates.
  • •Apply AI where it earns its place by defining allowed decisions, human-in-the-loop boundaries, evaluation approach, and ensuring AI outputs trace to real records while shipping behind external gates.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience owning a complex technical product end-to-end, with strong judgment under ambiguity and the ability to balance ambition against technical, regulatory, and operational reality.
  • •Solid technical foundation in system design (boundaries, datastores, queues/workflows, APIs, failure modes, and concurrency consistency) and comfort reviewing/challenging design docs.
  • •Experience in a regulated/high-consequence domain (payments, banking, remittance, insurance) or demonstrated fast-ramp ability, with clear understanding of why money movement is different.
  • •Hands-on AI judgment for LLM-based products, including framing features as evaluable (offline/online/human feedback) and managing hallucination/drift/data gaps.
  • •Ability to apply AI responsibly, including knowing when a model must not be in the loop at all.
