Job Summary

Senior Finance Analyst responsible for high-quality financial analysis and insight for the Weapons Mission Area, partnering with the Programme Manager to drive performance, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. Leads EAC reporting, balance sheet reviews, cash management, and financial governance, acting as the financial conscience of the business within a Defence/complex contracting environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Understand and communicate the link between programme and financial performance, providing insight into the numbers for business leads and key stakeholders
•Ensure financial processes are delivered on time and understood by stakeholders including risk, opportunity management, earned value management, and forecasting
•Support the achievement of all metrics (bookings, sales, profit, cash) and maintain financial governance
•Act as the financial conscience of the business and ensure policy adherence, providing financial insight to risk & opportunities processes
•Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support, including EAC reporting and the establishment of AOP and five-year plan targets

Key Requirements

•Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or Finalist
•Project Accounting experience
•Business Partnering skills, working across different internal functions
•Relevant commercial experience in a similar defence or complex contracting environment
•Experience of working with SAP, Power BI, MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
