Key Responsibilities

  • •Assess the effectiveness of management, operational, and technical security controls to determine overall control implementation and security requirements satisfaction.
  • •Evaluate systems and authorization packages using RMF and JSIG, including identifying weaknesses and recommending corrective actions.
  • •Advise information system owners and authorization officials on assessment and authorization issues, including impact levels for Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability.
  • •Document results in Security Assessment Reports (SAR) and initiate POA&M for authorization boundary weaknesses; provide written recommendations for authorization.
  • •Support government activities including compliance inspections, cybersecurity-related incidents, continuous monitoring evaluation, and review/concurring sanitization and clearing procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of related experience in information system security, including minimum 4 years with SAP, SCI, or Collateral Information Systems security and implementation of described regulations.
  • •Prior performance as an ISSO and/or ISSM or SCA.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline OR an associate’s degree in a related area plus 2 years’ experience (or equivalent experience).
  • •IAT Level III certification within 6 months of hire (e.g., CISSP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA).
  • •Must be able to attain and maintain TS/SCI with CI Polygraph; TS/SCI required to start.
