Key Responsibilities

•Develop and implement MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs.
•Mentor junior safety engineers and coordinate System Safety Working Groups between Raytheon and Customer representatives.
•Actively engage in engineering review boards to assess impacts to the safety program and design changes.
•Interpret system requirements, customer specifications and military standards to recommend compliance strategies to program leadership.
•Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering functions to identify and mitigate hazards and risks.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
•Experience with DoD System Safety Programs e.g. MIL-STD-882 and DO-178.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
•Experience leading safety reviews and System Safety Working Groups.
•Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and proposal development.
