Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan individual tasks daily in their area of work and maintain good workshop housekeeping while caring for tools.
  • •Assist in diagnosing and repairing faults/defects on equipment/vehicles/plant during breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • •Record all work-related activities in log books/work orders to support planning in the Maintenance Management System.
  • •Ensure maintenance activities follow standard safety procedures to prevent personal injury and equipment/vehicle/plant damage.
  • •Assist with scheduled maintenance per standards (manufacturer recommendations, ISO, safety, and legal/regulatory requirements), including inspection of equipment for reliability and safety.

Key Requirements

  • •10 years of schooling or equivalent.
  • •2 years’ experience in maintenance (Facilities/Auto/Electric Mechanic) within a large maintenance organization, ideally aviation ground support or cargo handling.
  • •Experience in maintenance of Ground Support equipment.
  • •2 years of trade certificate course in an engineering discipline.
  • •Knowledge of mechanical/electrical/electronic/automobile/air-con and refrigeration systems for light vehicles or material handling systems.
