Job Summary

Own end-to-end procurement strategy for transmission and substation equipment, leading global sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations to enable SpaceX’s high-scale power plant builds. Partner with engineers and energy teams on long-term roadmaps, manage long-lead items, and drive value engineering and risk management to achieve ultra-high reliability for Starlink infrastructure.

Job Function: Procurement & Sourcing

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with engineers and energy teams to define long-term transmission and substation equipment strategy and multi-year procurement roadmaps.
•Own global sourcing and contracting end-to-end for high-voltage equipment to ensure on-time delivery of long-lead items.
•Negotiate long-term commercial agreements and master supply agreements with OEMs, EPCs, and suppliers.
•Lead equipment procurement projects from sourcing through factory acceptance testing and site delivery.
•Mentor cross-functional teams on high-voltage procurement best practices and drive continuous optimization.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in Business, Energy, Supply Chain or Engineering (or 10+ years in one or more of these areas).
•5+ years of experience in high-voltage equipment procurement, transmission/substation sourcing, energy infrastructure supply chain, utilities, and/or power generation.
•Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities with OEMs, EPC contractors, and suppliers.
•Experience delivering procurement projects from sourcing through factory acceptance testing to site delivery.
•Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed; on-site in Austin, TX.
