Job Function: Software Engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and design the foundational data and infrastructure stack for Airweave’s platform, focusing on reliability, scale, and observability
  • •Design and scale distributed data pipelines that sync hundreds of millions of documents from multiple sources into advanced search indexes
  • •Build and improve Temporal workflows for parallel sync orchestration, including retries, backpressure, and failure recovery
  • •Manage Kubernetes deployments with Helm charts, enabling autoscaling and resource management for bursty workloads
  • •Scale and optimize PostgreSQL and Vespa vector database infrastructure, including replication, sharding, and backup strategies

Key Requirements

  • •Founding engineer with experience owning data/infrastructure layers for scalable systems
  • •Experience building or operating data pipelines at scale (ETL, event processing, streaming, or sync infrastructure)
  • •Proficiency with Kubernetes and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm)
  • •Knowledge of distributed systems (workflows, message queues, eventual consistency) and observability
  • •Familiarity with vector databases and LLM inference pipelines (Embeddings, vector search)
