Key Responsibilities

  • •Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes used in road, site, or highway construction and paving.
  • •Properly follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
  • •Perform daily pre- and post-inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • •Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the foreman.
  • •Follow directions of the foreman for daily tasks; assist with shoveling asphaltic materials and maintenance of asphalt finishing machine as needed, including general labor when necessary.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
  • •Previous related experience in the construction field and/or training.
  • •Ability to safely operate heavy equipment used in road, site, or highway construction and paving.
  • •Ability to follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
  • •Ability to perform physically demanding work including regular lifting of 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
