Staff Software Engineer, Backend (Consumer - Prediction Markets)

Design and own core backend systems for prediction markets, including order management, trade matching, settlement, and market resolution. Architect distributed systems with strict correctness guarantees across clearing, payout, and position workflows. Lead technical strategy for migrating to a fully Coinbase-operated exchange and clearing platform, collaborate with Product/Compliance/Risk on regulatory readiness, and set engineering standards across the team while partnering across Consumer and Business for shared infrastructure.
