Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical leadership for aquatic ecology projects within your expertise.
  • •Support the Team Leader with business development in Scotland.
  • •Contribute aquatic ecology input into EIA, planning, mitigation, and multidisciplinary projects.
  • •Author and review technical reports, working with multidisciplinary teams for specialist input.
  • •Mentor and line manage members of the Aquatic Ecology team, including survey design and costing.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience of ecological impact assessment (EcIA/EIA).
  • •Experience of Water Framework Directive (WFD) compliance assessment.
  • •Understanding of industry-standard monitoring techniques, analyses, and associated consenting/permitting requirements for aquatic ecology.
  • •Knowledge of relevant legislation relating to the aquatic environment, particularly the Water Framework Directive, and its implementation.
  • •Full UK driving licence.
