Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, develop, and deploy features to enhance observability services for teams across Salesforce.
  • •Demonstrate service ownership by monitoring services and taking proactive actions during incidents.
  • •Interact with customers to understand requirements/issues and address them in a timely manner.
  • •Work with engineering and product leadership to evolve the feature roadmap and contribute to release planning.
  • •Reduce engineering toil by automating manual procedures and improving configuration and delivery to enhance team productivity.

Key Requirements

  • •B.S./M.S. in Computer Sciences or an equivalent field.
  • •Experience building highly scalable, available, and real-time data management services.
  • •Experience building server-side Java (or equivalent) applications for a Linux/UNIX environment.
  • •Experience with Python, Perl, Ruby, Go, or Scala, with willingness to become an expert as needed.
  • •Experience with time series databases, metric collection frameworks, and data streaming/analytics platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka, OpenTSDB, Elasticsearch, Splunk) plus SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, HBase).
