Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the focal point for EMP and TEMPEST activities across assigned projects, including contributing to bid estimates and engineering program pursuits.
  • •Develop EMP-compliant designs and support compliance with existing and emerging EMP tests tied to specified MIL-STD standards.
  • •Capture and translate TEMPEST, EMP, EMC/EMI, and power input requirements, and prepare and review TEMPEST/EMP documentation (control plans, test procedures, test reports).
  • •Conduct and lead day-to-day EMP and TEMPEST testing activities independently across multiple projects, generating and reviewing test data.
  • •Coordinate and validate in-house and external test activities and setups, interface with project engineers as needed, and mentor junior EMP and TEMPEST engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •U.S. citizenship only (dual citizenship not permitted) is required due to security clearance restrictions.
  • •Active and transferable Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • •Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 10 years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with minimum 7 years).
  • •Active TEMPEST testing experience within the last 2 years, including experience submitting TEMPEST reports for approval.
  • •Minimum 8 years EMI/EMC experience with MIL-STD-461 D/E/F/G (or DO-160) plus 2 years TEMPEST testing experience.
