Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive assurance and quality for product design artefacts, ensuring compliance with internal and customer requirements.
  • •Mentor hardware engineers and future design authorities, providing technical leadership in a multi-disciplinary design team.
  • •Lead end-to-end design and development of power electronic systems from concept through qualification and beyond.
  • •Ensure high-quality schematics, simulations, PCB designs, and support component selection, evaluation, and verification.
  • •Lead design reviews and lifecycle support including commissioning, debug, fault diagnosis, and configuration control/design change.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrable experience in power electronics design across a range of topologies, from prototype through to production.
  • •Strong expertise in product design for Manufacture, Assembly and Test, with experience leading a design team and mentoring others.
  • •Experience ensuring compliance to defense engineering standards (DEF-STAN, MIL-STD) and European directives (e.g., Low Voltage Directive, EMC Directive).
  • •Ability to produce and review analysis, simulation, and technical reports using SPICE-based and Simulink simulation tools.
  • •Practical skills in schematic capture, PCB design, verification, and configuration control/design change management.
